Mapeex MS 40 is a one-component sealant, thixotropic, polymer-based hybrid sealant with low modulus ofelasticity, developed in MAPEI’s Research laboratories.Mapeex MS 40 hardens following its reactions with the humidity in the surrounding air and, because of itsspecial characteristics, offers a guarantee of a long service life.The product is ready to use and is available in aluminium cartridges equipped with a special extrusion gun fromMapei Gun range.Its consistency allows for rapid application and once set it may be painted over.The silane polymer characteristic for Mapeex MS 40 allows for application also on temporarily wet substrates.Before painting over Mapeex MS 40, the sealant must be fully polymerised and the paint must be deformable,such as Elastocolor Paint, elastomeric paint crack-bridging protection for internal and external. Always carry outpreliminary tests to make sure the sealant and paint are compatible.
